Chincoteague photos July 2010 Pony Penning week, next week

Yep, got some cool photos of a couple of the Ponies grazing  and the waves here at Assateague which are HUGE. Enjoy. Also I didn't know after all these years that Chincoteague means Beautiful land. Also on the website the history of the ponies.. survivors from a Spanish wreck on Assateague.. sounds right to me
and of course, reminder the ponies are owned by the Chincoteague Fire Department, those grazing ponies are so called rogues, but I seriously doubt they can get out of the marshy area or want to.. fun here and quaint; however AOL named Chincoteague number one vacation spot so much for a super quiet time but lots of food fun and water.. more later.
